A new client invited my staff and me to New York for a week of meetings this summer. Some of the guys had never spent significant time in the city. We stuck around an extra day so my co-workers could take in some of the experiences — Central Park, Yankee Stadium and art museums.

At the Guggenheim, one of my writers fell in love with Laszlo Moholy-Nagy, the Hungarian painter and Bauhaus school professor. He spent hours gazing at these paintings, getting so close at times I thought we would get kicked out for touching the art. He lost his mind somewhere amongst the art and left the museum in a bit of a stupor.

He collapsed on the curb just staring across the street at Central Park.

I got him an ice cream cone, and he mumbled to himself most of the walk home.
