Innovate Mississippi Seeks Entrepreneurs to Apply for Delta I-Fund Virtual Accelerator Program

(Jackson, Miss.) – Innovate Mississippi announced today that it is seeking Mississippi entrepreneurs to apply and participate in a partner program called the Delta I-Fund Virtual Accelerator, which could fund up to $50,000 of proof of concept work.

The Delta I-Fund is an intense, 12-week virtual accelerator program designed to guide and train entrepreneurial startup teams. The program, which spans the eight states included in the Delta region, has partnered with Innovate Mississippi for developing Mississippi companies, mentors and other resources for the program. Each entrepreneurial team must reside within the specified Delta region, which roughly covers all of Mississippi west of Interstate 55, and have a minimum of two members. Each team selected will be matched with an experienced mentor from the business community within the region.

“We are excited to work with the Delta Regional Authority’s Delta I-Fund to help Mississippi entrepreneurs grow their businesses through this virtual accelerator model,” said Tony Jeff, Innovate Mississippi president and CEO. “We are seeking technology and innovation-based ideas, such as software and IT solutions, technologies that provide a competitive advantage, and patented university research in fields such as medical, science, biomedical and engineering applications to apply. This is an incredible opportunity not to be missed!”

Participants must apply by August 20. Please visit www.deltaifund.com or contact Tasha Bibb at tbibb@innovate.ms or 601-906-3610 for more information.
