Pitch Your Big Idea at Dawg Tank in Vicksburg – Applications Due May 30

Mississippi State University at MCITy is calling on aspiring entrepreneurs and early-stage startups to step into the spotlight at Dawg Tank, a regional pitch competition and official qualifier for the CoBuilders statewide accelerator program.

The event will take place on Wednesday, June 26 at 2:00 p.m., on the second floor of MCITy in Vicksburg. Participants will compete for a share of $20,000 in cash prizes, with $10,000 allocated for individual category awards. Also, team members from Innovate Mississippi will be on hand to scout potential members of the next CoBuilders cohort, where invited founders gain access to hands-on mentorship, funding pathways, and statewide investor networks.

In addition to accelerator opportunities, three lifestyle or service-based startups will receive full scholarships to the Vicksburg Entrepreneur Bootcamp, hosted by the Vicksburg Warren Partnership.

Entrepreneurs with an idea or early-stage companies that have raised less than $25,000 in funding or revenue are encouraged to apply. Teams will be supported with pitch templates, mentorship, and networking opportunities to prepare for the event.

Application Deadline: May 30
To learn more or submit your application, contact Tasha Bibb, Senior Program Manager, MSU Office of Technology Management, at tasha.bibb@msstate.edu.

Also on Thursday from 5–7 p.m., MCITy will host Connect Vicksburg—a laid-back networking happy hour inspired by Innovate Mississippi’s monthly CONNECT events. Enjoy food and beer from Key City Brewery while connecting with founders, mentors, investors, and fellow innovation enthusiasts.
