Mathews, Dummer and Jeff Talk Coworking and CoBuilders on SuperTalk

SuperTalk’s Ricky Mathews recently invited to his radio show Innovate Mississippi CEO Tony Jeff and Geneva Dummer with The Meeting Place on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The Meeting Place has three locations on the Gulf Coast for co-working and startup business acceleration services.

The discussion among the three quickly turned to the entrepreneurial ecosystem and the role of Innovate Mississippi in building regional partnerships through the CoBuilders program with partners such as The Meeting Place.

Jeff emphasized the notion of “believing you can do it here,” meaning starting and growing a business in Mississippi, particularly a high-growth, technical startup. Dummer noted that The Meeting Place serves as a connector and resource partner for startups on the Gulf Coast, directing them toward the Small Business Development Center, the South Mississippi Contract Procurement Center or Innovate Mississippi, to name a few.

This year, the Meeting Place will serve again as a regional partner in CoBuilders by holding a regional pitch competition and sending winners to the statewide accelerator program. Jeff and Dummer discussed the specifics of that program, which you can learn more about at CoBuilders.ms. They also discussed the South Mississippi Angel Fund and other investment opportunities for entrepreneurs and startups.

We appreciate Ricky Mathews for bringing attention to these initiatives, and we thank Geneva Dummer’s The Meeting Place for being an excellent regional partner. Watch the entire SuperTalk segment on Youtube.
