Last week I wrote about how “the idea” isn’t the most important element leading to the success of a technology startup.
I should come clean and say that of the more than 1,200 Mississippi startups we’ve helped through Innovate Mississippi, many of them probably disagreed with that sentiment when they first started working with us. Through the process of helping these companies move forward, raise investor capital and go to market, however, I think we’ve mostly convinced them that there really are five key areas of development for a technology startup: the product/technology, the market, the finances, the management team and the plan.
