Fourth Annual Mississippi Geospatial Conference at USM Gulf Park Oct. 20-21

The University of Southern Mississippi will host the fourth annual Mississippi Geospatial Conference Oct. 20-21 on the University’s Gulf Park Campus in Long Beach.

Sponsored by the Mississippi Association for Spatial Technologies (MAST), the annual regional conference welcomes more than 100 professionals and students from Mississippi, Louisiana and Alabama to take advantage of the opportunity to meet, network and learn from others in geographic information science (GIS) and remote sensing (RS) related fields.

The conference will take place in the Fleming Education Center Auditorium on the Gulf Park campus and will be held Thursday, Oct. 20 from noon to 5:30 p.m. and Friday, Oct. 21 from 9:30 a.m. to noon.

According to Dr. David Holt, USM associate professor of geography and MAST conference organizer, the event is not only for practitioners but also anyone with an interest in GIS and RS fields.
