We’re updating this page on a regular basis to help entrepreneurs and business owners find resources in the face of the economic challenges of COVID-19. None of this should be considered legal advice or accounting advice; we provide these links and summaries for educational purposes only.
Please let us know if you come across any other resources for Mississippi entrepreneurs.
The Mississippi Development Authority has launched the Back to Business Mississippi website with information on the upcoming program.
Back to Business Mississippi is a grant program designed to distribute up to $300 million in grants to small businesses in Mississippi, paid out of the CARES ACT money that the state received. Businesses that have not received EIDL or Payroll Protection Program loans will be eligible first to receive grants from Mississippi, and $40 million of the program’s dollars are set aside specifically for minority-owned businesses.
On that site currently, you can read about eligibility for the program and sign up for e-mail notification when the application is posted.
