April Dixon is an innovation analyst for Innovate Mississippi, where she serves as the point person for the statewide CoBuilders accelerator program. She started with Innovate Mississippi as an intern in May 2022. Before joining Innovate Mississippi, Dixon worked at AmeriCorps in the FoodCorp program after a five-year stint as a classroom teacher.
Born in Starkville, Miss., Dixon grew up in Jackson and Madison, graduating from Madison Central High School. She graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in criminology and is currently working on her MBA at Mississippi College.
