Mississippi entrepreneurs are building companies around problems they know firsthand in healthcare, cybersecurity, financial technology, manufacturing, education and even the rapidly growing world of North American cricket (the sport, not the insect).
The nine companies selected for Innovate Mississippi’s 2026 CoBuilders cohort reflect both the range of ideas emerging across the state and the depth of experience behind them. Their founders include university researchers, engineers, cybersecurity professionals and entrepreneurs who recognized opportunities in the industries where they were already working. Some are preparing for their first customers and pilots. Others are already testing products in the market. All are using CoBuilders to sharpen their businesses, make connections and prepare for what comes next.
Here’s a look at the 2026 CoBuilders cohort and their founders.
Numadx — Paul Thomas
Numadx is a consumer technology company in Mississippi redefining comfort and mobility using pneumatic, air-based cushioning. It produces adjustable shoe inserts that reduce fatigue, alleviate foot and joint pain, and increase comfort for those who stay on their feet for long periods.
The core pneumatic polymer technology was originally developed for NFL helmets and military applications. It delivers an underfoot feel and durability that typical foam and gel products can’t match. Like the pressure in a car or bike tire, the inserts can be tuned to the person—their body type, footwear profile, or activity level. The mission is simple: keep people moving with durable, American-made products.
ProSentra — Troy Vennon
ProSentra has developed Acuity, an operating system for a cybersecurity program that assists security leaders in continuously evaluating, prioritizing, carrying out, and measuring their programs.
Most organizations still rely on annual assessments and disconnected tools that produce recommendations but struggle to turn them into durable, measurable progress. Acuity closes that gap by connecting current-state understanding, prioritized work, ownership, evidence, and continuous improvement within a single system. Built by experienced cybersecurity operators, ProSentra supports CISOs and security teams needing clearer visibility into progress, spend, and outcomes.
CardFlow Financial — Chelsea Rogers
CardFlow is a financial organization and automation platform that simplifies the way consumers manage and repay multiple credit cards, with the mantra: One payment. Every card. Total control.
The platform brings balances, due dates, minimum payments, and APRs into one coordinated view, then analyzes each consumer’s complete credit card profile to recommend a personalized repayment strategy. Consumers choose “snowball,” “avalanche,” or a custom approach and make a single payment distributed across their selected cards, eliminating manual payment calculations and the monthly slog of navigating multiple issuer portals. CardFlow brings automated debt repayment technology directly to the people carrying the debt.
Sixer — Shahmir Siddiqui
Sixer is North America’s first end-to-end cricket platform, built from the ground up for the sport and backed by some of the biggest names in North American cricket.
The platform brings together high-quality live video, fan engagement, and league infrastructure in one free, community-native experience. Serving both fans and leagues, Sixer vertically integrates every layer of the sport — from live streaming to modern league management. Its fan engagement suite, the first of its kind in North American cricket, includes fantasy, community giveaways, and leaderboards, turning every match into a shared experience. Sixer isn’t just streaming cricket; it’s building the ecosystem around it.
Clarus Labs — Max Wamsley
Based in Vicksburg, Clarus Labs is developing rapid, quantitative, on-site chemical testing for food and ingredient systems.
Its initial product line focuses on oxidation testing, a quality problem that cuts shelf life, damages flavor and odor, and weakens consistency in meat, pet food, and related products. Clarus combines a compact instrument, consumable testing kits, and software-driven analysis into a workflow that delivers actionable results in under 15 minutes, reducing dependence on slow, centralized laboratories. Early customers include antioxidant suppliers and food and pet-food research and validation labs, with expansion planned for ingredient suppliers, manufacturers, and testing laboratories.
Over time, Clarus plans to add assays to the same instrument-and-kit platform, building a broader system for accessible on-site chemical analysis.
Beibeaux Sol — Jennifer Jackson Penick
Beibeaux Sol is a mission-driven technology company building governance and funding infrastructure for nonprofits and the institutions that support them.
Its readiness intelligence platform helps organizations assess operational alignment, organize evidence, and identify gaps while preparing them for funding, compliance, and reporting, reducing avoidable administrative breakdowns that quietly derail good organizations. By structuring reliable organizational information, Beibeaux Sol creates a clearer, more accountable path for resources to reach organizations prepared to manage them responsibly. The guiding principle: Better In, Better Out.
Precision Heat Technologies — Michael Brown
Precision Heat is a medical device company developing a patent-pending thermoregulatory system that warms patients by targeting the high-density arteriovenous anastomoses in glabrous skin on the palms and soles.
Its compact, conductive, water-circulating device uses moldable, single-use disposable pads that deliver efficient core-body temperature support while leaving most of the body free for surgical access and monitoring. Unlike bulky forced-air systems, the technology reduces infection risk, is highly portable, and offers substantially lower system and disposable costs. It addresses a $1 billion patient-warming market spanning more than 40 million annual surgeries, as well as dialysis centers, postpartum care, patient transport, and patients with neurologic dysfunction. Founded by researchers at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, Precision Heat aims to set a new standard for safer, more accessible patient warming.
Tax Assembly — Jae Cho
Tax Assembly is an accounting education technology company that brings real-world accounting practice into the classroom.
Students complete interactive accounting, tax, and audit client cases using realistic documents and professional workflows. Instructors can assign cases, track progress, and review student work, all in one platform. Tax Assembly complements existing textbooks with active, hands-on learning that helps students apply concepts through realistic work. The mission is to make accounting education more fun, practical, and career-ready.
CodifyAI — JR Cunningham
CodifyAI is building an AI-powered medical coding copilot that flags coding errors and likely claim denials before claims go out the door.
The product is built for skilled nursing facilities and rural urgent care clinics where experienced billing staff are scarce, and a single denied claim can consume weeks of administrative follow-up. Rather than replacing coders, the system works alongside them, surfacing issues in real time and explaining why each one matters so that staff build expertise rather than dependence.
Founder JR Cunningham is a Mississippi State-trained computer scientist with more than 15 years of experience in software engineering, including seven years of defense work at Stennis Space Center. The idea came directly from helping a rural clinic in Aberdeen get its operations up and running and watching how badly the billing side was underserved. CodifyAI is lining up its first pilots with post-acute and urgent care providers in Mississippi and California, on an architecture built for the compliance realities of small healthcare organizations. Mississippi is the beachhead; the national post-acute market is where this goes.
