Lindsey White Benefield is serving the role of Fund Manager for the $26M InvestMS Funds. In this role, she leads the operational design and execution of SSBCI-backed venture programs, supporting fund strategy, deployment workflows, and multi-state coordination.
Working alongside Yellow Ventures, Innovate Mississippi leadership, and regional partners, Lindsey focuses on building the operating backbone that allows capital programs to move with clarity. Her work spans fund and program design, capital readiness strategy, and ecosystem coordination—ensuring processes are practical, compliant, and scalable under public and private review. In partnership with Yellow Ventures, she also co-manages SSBCI equity program operations in Louisiana, supporting cross-state alignment and execution.
Through her work with InvestMS and Innovate Mississippi’s capital programs, Lindsey has supported the deployment of more than $10M in Mississippi early-stage investments since 2021, helped grow the Mississippi Angel Investor Network to 400+ members, and contributed to the launch and operation of multiple SSBCI-aligned venture and angel fund initiatives. She works closely with Tony Jeff and the Innovate Mississippi Capital Team to support the development of regional angel funds and expand founders’ access to early-stage capital.
Prior to Innovate Mississippi, Lindsey spent seven years in the technology and cybersecurity sector as an award-winning account executive, specializing in SaaS-based growth with companies including Dell, Blackboard, Sage, and Avast.
