Wendy spends her time assisting clients with a variety of corporate projects that arise along the lifeline of every company. Those projects include entity selection and formation, contract drafting and negotiation to develop and protect both tangible and intangible assets, commercialization tasks aimed at putting the products and services into the marketplace, growth by acquisition that might involve merger, asset or stock transactions, or working to prep the company for diligence by potential buyers as part of an exit strategy.
Wendy was fortunate to have worked as General Counsel for SkyTel Corp., a wireless communications company owned by WorldCom and later by Verizon for over eight years. This opportunity allowed Wendy to have a front row seat on the interaction of law and the real world of running a business. Because of the opportunities she has enjoyed during twenty years of practice, clients often invite her to the table to provide early guidance and to strategize on projects, which enables her to truly serve as counsel to her clients. In addition to her law practice,
Wendy is involved with several civic and community organizations, including service on the Board for The Women’s Foundation of Mississippi and as Board Chair for the Mississippi Center for Nonprofits. Wendy has also served as an adjunct professor at Mississippi College School of Law, teaching Business Transaction Drafting to upper level students.
