Magnolia Tribune: CoBuilders 2025 Launches with Seven Startups Across Mississippi

Innovate Mississippi is pleased to highlight recent coverage from Lynne Jeter at Magnolia Tribune of the CoBuilders 2025 Launch Day, held August 12 at The Capitol Club in downtown Jackson. Her article details the event, the companies selected, and the program’s unique statewide approach, including a look at companies in previous cohorts and their successes. CoBuilders is produced by Innovate Mississippi and sponsored by Microsoft.

We are proud to share that this marks the fourth year Microsoft has supported the program. Their continued commitment has played a vital role in helping founders across Mississippi access the tools, mentorship, and resources they need to grow. We are deeply grateful for Microsoft’s contributions and partnership, which strengthen our statewide innovation ecosystem year after year.

This year’s cohort features seven startups: Study Placer, Vertical Take-Off Reading, Automatic AI, ClaimTra, SimpleScript, MagnoliaEd, and Altude. These ventures range from education technology, artificial intelligence, real estate tools, and online learning. They won spots in the program through our network of regional partners: the MSU E-Center, MSU Vicksburg, the Oxford/CDF Partnership, BeanPath, Higher Purpose Co., the Mississippi Polymer Institute, and our Gulf Coast network.

CoBuilders is Mississippi’s first statewide high-growth startup accelerator. It enables founders to stay in their home communities while connecting with mentors, training, and business resources from across the state. By working with eight regional partners, the program supports local entrepreneurship while creating a connected, collaborative network of innovators.

Over the next 12 weeks, the cohort will participate in intensive business coaching, refine their products and business models, and prepare to grow. The program concludes in November with Pitch Day at the Innovate Mississippi Accelerate conference, where the startups will present to investors and other stakeholders. The ultimate goal: Connect promising startups with the capital they need to succeed and grow.

Thanks to Lynne Jeter and Magnolia Tribune for covering the CoBuilders 2025 kickoff and helping share the story of these Mississippi entrepreneurs! Read the full story here.
