The purpose of the Strategic Biomass Solutions program is to drive innovation in the area of renewable energy technology by connecting entrepreneurs, investors, and economic developers. Strategic Biomass Solutions offers numerous resources to renewable energy stakeholders, such as studies and analysis for startup businesses and information via the Renewable Energy Venture Development Academy. SBS also manages the Mississippi Biomass and Renewable Energy Council, an organization that serves as the voice of sustainable industries in Mississippi. Overall, SBS exists to serve the needs of renewable energy ventures in order to drive technology to market.

Renewable Energy/Energy Efficiency Report

This report was compiled in order to highlight the state of renewable energy and energy efficiency in the state of Mississippi. Different technologies are discussed, along with the economic impact renewable energy/energy efficiency projects have had and will continue to have on the state.

The 2012 version of the report has been released as a draft version for public comment. Commentary should be directed to Joseph Linton at jlinton@innovate.ms. We thank you for your participation in highlighting renewable energy and energy efficiency projects in Mississippi.
