Description:
SIS was founded in November 2005, growing out of research conducted at Mississippi State University. The company is a Mississippi corporation with an exclusive license to the intellectual property behind SIS Map Accuracy Tools (MAT).
 
The SIS management team includes company owner Dr. Charles G. O’Hara, who has more than 15 years of experience in leading advanced mapping and remote sensing technology projects. O’Hara is also the technology and IP developer for SIS. Leslie O’Hara has more than 15 years of marketing and sales experience and leads the company’s business development efforts.

The Map Accuracy Tools products developed by SIS are a set of software products that determine the accuracy, quality and completeness of map data and information products. The product will be marketed to industry customers seeking commercial tools to quantify the accuracy and limitations of their map products as well as the tools and technologies needed to readily modernize and maintain map products.
