Crystal McCann is the marketing and events coordinator for Innovate Mississippi, where her main focus is on organizing Innovate Mississippi’s events, such as Discovery Luncheons, the annual Conference on Technology Innovation, the Innovators Hall of Fame Awards Gala, Startup Weekend, and the Mississippi New Venture Challenge.
She also assists with sponsorships and community outreach, and manages Innovate Mississippi’s social media platforms.
Previously, Crystal was an entrepreneurial development analyst at Innovate Mississippi, assisting startup companies with venture development by providing entrepreneurs with next steps, performing financial and market analysis, business-plan reviews, and competitive-market analysis. She also assisted in the coordination of Innovate Mississippi events related to entrepreneurship.
Crystal graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Belhaven University. Crystal attended Belhaven on a fast-pitch softball scholarship as a first baseman for the Blazers. During her time at Belhaven, Crystal also served as a member of the Dean’s Circle of Business, Sports Administration Club, and Accounting Club all while maintaining a 4.0 GPA.
Crystal resides in Madison, and is married to Austin McCann, a project chemist for Ergon Refining.
